Christmas morning!!!

We had a wonderful Christmas morning and day. Gigi and Poppy came over to see him open his gifts before we headed off to Wally's grandmother's house. He was quite funny when he came out to see all the presents under the tree too. All were wrapped except for this Thomas the Train sofa seat. He immediately saw it and wanted in. The gear shift makes noises and buttons play music so he was sold. He got in and would push the button for music and then do the "Parker wiggle". Once done he would do it again. Needless to say he did not want to get out so he opened several presents inside Thomas. I tried to pull the side door down so we could see him opening but he said "close" every time I tried. We had a lot of laughs that morning over him and have some great video. After we opened gifts and had breakfast, Wally, Parker and I headed to his grandmother's house in Fairmont. We then celebrated Christmas day with her and the Griffin side of the family. The kids had a great time playing together unfortunately it was too rainy to let the horses out. Guess well have to go back soon to see them.

Cool a kids cookbook for me and mommy. Thanks dad!

What more could he want with a monster truck and cool car slippers?

Dad and his cool pirate ball cap. Good luck pirates in the Liberty Bowl!!!

Parker loving his tunnels!

All I want to know is how the heck James fit in one of these?

Christmas at the Timm's

We celebrated Christmas with my parents and family the few days before Christmas and then this Monday and Tuesday (as Vicki, her boyfriend and Aiden weren't able to come until this week). We had a wonderful time playing games, playing with the kids, eating of course, and just catching up. Parker really enjoyed the train at their house and loved playing in the pop up tunnels he got.

Christmas with Nana and Granddad

On Christmas eve we went to Wally's parents house to enjoy some time with them before we all headed over to his cousins house for a Christmas eve get together. Parker enjoyed looking at all the neat things in there Christmas villages they had set up. He quickly picked out the tractors.

Ooooh what's this?

Oh yea! A tractor! Let's get it out!
Parker actually tried several times to get in this tractor before settling on pushing the buttons to get it to go and light up.

It wouldn't be Christmas without a ride on the lawn mower from Granddad!

Parker checking out the hip shakin' Santa

Mike's Farm

The weekend before Christmas we took a trip over to Mike's Farm. For those of you in the area if you have not been there yet it is a must for next Christmas. We have enjoyed Mike's Farm in the past but it was even more special this year to share it with Parker. They have a hayride that takes you through there farm that they have lit with all kinds of Christmas lights and scenes. Parker enjoyed the different lights and the music they had playing. The crowd is CRAZY when you go that close to Christmas so we didn't hit the restaurant but we can do that another time. It's GREAT home cooked family style food too.

Big smile cause he just saw that big tractor pull up behind him.

We love Nana!

Nana's birthday was this week and she happened to be staying the night with us that night so we decided to make it extra special because we love her so much. Parker helped make her a sign for her room and decorate her cake. We had a great dinner with her and granddad and she even let Parker help her blow out her candles.

Who's ready for Christmas?

Man it hits December 1st and all the sudden there is too much to do. Well we are all ready for Christmas here. We got our tree Thanksgiving weekend and Parker is enjoying it throughly this year. He has some ornaments on the bottom he can touch (which he likes and is actually doing well with not pulling others off. YEAH!!!). He really likes it when the lights are on too (of course).

Decorating the tree

Parker and his buddy Chase enjoying the Christmas flotila last weekend. Every year people decorate there boats for Christmas (lights, snowmen, santa's...) and then they drive them down the river for all to see. This year Santa had a surfboard which was pretty cool.

Jacksonville Christmas parade
Yea this is Jacksonville's where we are bundled up like we are in Boston. It was freezing. I think Parker had 2 of everything on including jackets and gloves. We had fun though. He was mezmerized by all the floats. We got a big laugh because we kept trying to get him to wave as people went by but he just wanted to take it all in. Then the Chicken (man in costume)from "Church's Chicken" walked by and he waved at him like crazy without an prompting. It was quite funny esp. if know annything of Church's chicken).

Santa Claus is coming to town! YEAH!!!

Thanksgiving

Sorry so long since a post but we have been CRAZY around here. Well Thanksgiving morning Parker woke up with a temp. of 104. We managed his temp. with tylenol and were able to see the doc. the next day and to no surprise he had a double ear infection (all better now though). We still went to my parents and got together for Thanksgiving. Parker was a snuggle bug but did enjoy seeing everyone even though he wasn't feeling the best. Luckily he is not a miserable sick baby as long as he has his blankie and pacy. Well we also celebrated my dad's birthday Wednesday (prior to turkey day) and then had our annual oyster roast Friday in his honor. Boy they were good. Wally's parents joined us this year which was nice too. Only down fall was Susie and Scott couldn't make it and we missed them terribly.

Parker enjoying some snuggles with Poppy watching an animals Baby Einstein DVD.

"I really don't feel good! Chicken noodle soup and Pedialyte really bite esp. with all that Thanksgiving dinner cooking. Wait I really don't feel like that either. How 'bout a nap?" Yes Parker slept through dinner but he needed it. Maybe next year.

Parker feeling better with a little antibiotics in the system. He loves his Aunt Kerry!

Can we go outside yet? We promise to be good!

"Maun Mower"

Parker LOVES the lawn mower. He wakes up saying lawn mower and pointing out the window in his room. Funny thing is the next thing he says is "Ry ry" for Ryan who Parker knows mows the grass on that side of the house. He tells us all about the lawn mower during breakfast and that it's in the shed(he can see our shed at the table). He associates that lawn mower with dada and granddad. Pretty much our breakfast conversation is "maun mower", "shed", "shhh" (because the lawn mower is sleeping), "dogs" and "birs" (for birds). It's pretty funny but man that kid loves the lawn mower. You can see by the look on his face below. His daddy's let him drive around the yard a few times and boy does that make his day.

What a happy kid!

Here's a cute video that Alison took on her camera when we visited them a couple of weeks ago. Chris let Parker sit on his lawn mower in their shed and you'll see Parker didn't forget. The rest is us having fun getting Parker dizzy. So mean aren't we? Hey he seemed to really enjoy it!

Parker finally has enough hair for a mohawk. Yeah!!!
About time isn't it!

My first masterpiece!

Parker's first true masterpiece with his tub markers. What do you think? Picasso or Monet?

Our visit to Greenville

This past weekend we traveled to Greenville to see our friends Chris and Alison and their adorable munchkin Davis. We got to catch up while the boys played and then Parker got to see some special things of theirs (like their lawn mower which is top on Parker's list these days, and their bike). Alison was sweet enough to take Parker for a spin on the bike too. Lets just say he didn't want to get off. As you'll see below Davis is as adorable as they come. He was definitely mesmerized by Parker though he said a few things himself. It was especially cute when they talked to each other. If only we knew what they said. Hope to see you guys again soon!!! And Chris thanks for sharing your birthday with us!

Ain't he just CUTE!!!

The boys playing

Parker mixin' some tunes with Davis' instruments

Here buddy, you want the train?

Alison giving Parker some spins in the chair. He loved this, esp. when he spotted she and Chris when he got around.

Alison you are the best!!!!

Happy Halloween!

We took a trip to the pumpkin patch and Nana and Granddad joined us. Parker really liked picking up the pumpkins. He even tried to lift a few big ones. Granddad bought Parker his very own BIG pumpkin which Parker helped clean out.

Here are a few of our Halloween pics. We had a great time. Wally and Ryan decorated the yard with a graveyard, skeletons, and other creepy stuff along with bats flying overhead and fog to make it extra spooky. We had a good turn out of trick or treaters and Parker got his first taste of going to a few doors. We look forward to next year.
