A few weeks ago Wally and I took Parker to Monkey Joe's in Wilmington. It is a large building full of blow up slides and bounce houses. We met friends Tricia and Frank there with their kids Cooper and Bentley and boy did those kids have fun. Parker loved climbing up a blow up alligator and trying to walk down his back without falling and he LOVED the slides. We put a video at the bottom of him going down one of the slides and you'll see by the smile on the his face how much he liked it.

Snow Day!!!
Well here are some shots from the snow we got last week. It was crazy we go to Florida one week, come bak on Sunday and it stinkin snows here on Tuesday. Don't get me wrong we enjoyed every minute of it but it was a big weather change for us. We ended up getting 3 inches here and it was around for about 2 days. Then oh yes it was 60 degrees 2 days later. Don't you just love our weather.
It was quite fun finding the clothes to bundle Parker in so he could go outside. We really don't have snow gear for him cause, well it never snows here. He didn't seem to mind all the layers though. It poured with snow that afternoon and early evening so it was a lot of fun to get to play in it while it was still snowing.
Even in the snow, the boy wants his lawn mower.
Parker thought it was funny how when he walked through the snow his shoes were covered in it. He has recently really grasped what the word mess means so when his shoes would get covered in the snow he would say "mess?". We can't tell you how many times we'd say no it's just the snow. Funny from a kid who loves to play in the dirt and get messy. Posted by Wally & Leah Hansen at 1:36 PM 3 comments

Florida here we come!

Hey buddy it's a long trip, do you want some water?
Parker watching the fuel tankers and big macs drive outside his window of the hotel we stayed at on the way down.
Nana and Granddad swinging Parker as they walked around thelakes at the resort.
Parker's absolute favorite, seeing and feeding the ducks! They had ducks in the lakes at the resort which were right outside our place. He loved going out on our porch and watching them but his favorite was for Granddad to take him down to them. He talked about these ducks as soon as he woke up. Now every body of water he sees he immediaetly says "wawa, ducks".Posted by Wally & Leah Hansen at 9:44 PM 2 comments

Disney World!!!
Boy did we have a blast at Disney! We went to Hollywood studios where Parker's favorite was definitely the HUGE Honey I Shrunk The Kids Playland and this cool stunt show we saw. We went to Sea World 2 days. The shows were great and animals were simply beautiful. Wally and I got to ride on their roller coaster - Kracken. A must for anyone who goes. And of course we made it to Magic Kingdom. Parker went on his first ride there. And lets just say-he loved it. I have to say I was very pleased and surprised at how much an 18 month old can do and ride there. We were there from 9-8. Man were we wore out. However the lighted parade at night was well worth it. Disney definitly out did themselves. We got a chance to try out Disney Quest as well (a different day of course). It's their 5 story indoor arcade and virtual video games (came with our ticket). It was pretty cool. We got to design our own roller coaster and then take our card to a simulator and ride our own coaster. And yes, we did the flips. We all had a wonderful time. You forget just how fun Disney World is. It was great fun for all of us and especially fun getting to watch Parker enjoying so much of it. And talking about it too. That was the funniest part. We probably heard about ducks, "neigh neighs", Dumbo (by way of the elephant sound), fish and sharks at least a gazzilion times. Hope you enjoy the pictures!
