Mother's Day!

I had a wonderful mother's day! We started out the day by waking up to Parker chatting through the monitor and little baby #2 throwing a mother's day party in my belly (yes at 7am). Both were quite sweet though and led to some early morning giggles. Daddy got us all a special breakfast and then he and Parker gave me some great gifts. They really know what I like. Let's just say it's definitely time to hit the beach now. We headed to church where the youth put on the whole service. That was quite impressive and sweet. When we picked Parker up from the nursery he gave me my first piece of art work. That was really sweet and thoughtful of the ladies in the nursery to do that. Then we had lunch with my family (the one's who were in town). That afternoon we just played in Parker's sandbox and enjoyed the wondeful weather. Super Wally also made dinner while we played. It was a fabulous day and I am so greatful to be a mother as well as to have such a wonderful mother and mother-in-law.
We are a truely blessed family.

"Being a mother is a gift too great to comprehend.
Having a mother is a blessing too beautiful for words."
Happy Mother's Day to all you wonderful mother's that I know!

We've been busy!

We have been quite busy over the past few weeks so I apologize for the delay in posts. I have recently regained a little more energy and the nausea is gone (HOORAY!) so we have taken advantage of that. Not to mention we have had absolutely gorgeous weather.

We've planted flowers,
Gone to the beach,

enjoyed the park with the dogs,

and built a sandbox. This was right after the sand was delivered so of course it has since been smoothed out. Parker did enjoy the mountain while it was there.
He LOVES his sandbox!

But when all is said and done nothing is better than a blankie and a snuggle with a dog. This night it was Hurley who got the snuggles.

It's strawberry time!!!

Parker and I went with my dad last week to pick strawberries. This is something my family does every year and I absolutely love it. Parker had a great time this year with looking for the strawberries as they were "hiding" and of course walking up and down the rows. We together picked 9lbs. And would you believe they are all gone and we are ready to go again!

Parker praying!

Parker has recently chimed in when saying the prayer at meals. He's been saying Amen at the end but recently we decided to pause and see if he would fill in the blanks. This is what we got. I tell ya I could just eat him up!!!

Happy Easter!!!

We had a busy but wonderful Easter weekend. We along with my entire family went to Lexington, SC to visit my Grandma and mom's side of the family. We stayed at my Aunt's house (yes, all 10 of us) and then on Saturday my three cousins and their children (including our newest cousin Brennan only 4 weeks old)drove down from Huntersville (NC) to visit for the day. We were able to visit Grandma several times while we were there (she is in an extended care facility) and then she was brought over to my Aunt's house for the afternoon on Saturday. We had a great time. Everyone got time to catch up, the kids enjoyed bowling as well as each others toys and we all (including Gma) went down to Lake Murray (access is at the end of my Aunt's road) and enjoyed some time there. Parker and cousins Brecken and Ella loved throwing rocks into the water and watching them splash. Parker of course couldn't stop talking about water the whole trip. I mean who could when daddy and Uncle Nick took him fishing on the dock with them, he got to throw rocks and watch them splash, and Poppy took him out to the pool in the backyard and let him scoop with the net. G-ma had one request though - that we all play Bingo. It is a family tradition of ours so of course made time for that too. The prizes were good as always. Gma and myself even one twice. Easter Sunday the Easter Bunny visited which was great that he found us. Parker enjoyed his surprises from him as well as Gigi and Poppy. We then headed to church for a wonderful service. The church had a gorgeous cross outside full of flowers that people were also adding too. It was absolutely beautiful and such a wonderful idea. We then spent some more time with g-ma and then it was off to the road. We were pretty exhausted once we got home but it was well worth it. You can't beat family time!
