Parker and I go to V.A.

Parker and I took a trip up to see Aunt Susie and Uncle Scott in northern Virginia, for a long weekend. We had alot of fun and alot of new experiences. Parker loved chasing their cats and trying to pet them. They weren't to fond of the chasing. He also loved their fish (check the video below). While there we took a trip to the National Zoo in D.C. It was Parker's first time at the zoo. He liked looking at all the animals and really thought the Tamarins were funny. We drove through D.C. and saw lots of monuments and even the White House. On Sunday we went to Cox Farm's which we visited last year with them. It's basically an old farm turned into a big playland. They have slides, hayrides, a corn maze, places to pet and feed goats, milk cows etc. Parker really enjoyed all the slides this year, feeding and petting the goats, and boy did he like the tractors. I think he could've sat on it for an hour playing with the steering wheel and gadgets. They have fresh apples and fresh apple cider too which is delicious. We had a great time just hanging out at their house as well. They are lucky, they have a playground about 3 houses away. We only wish we had more time or (they) lived closer.

Parker and the fish!

Aunt Susie and Uncle Scott have fish in their office. Everytime Parker would come out of his or my room while we stayed there he would make the fish sound and head to the office to see them. It was pretty silly.

Welcome Peyton!

Congratulations to friends Ryan and Beth on the birth of their daughter

Isn't she adorable!!!

Mountain trip!

Last weekend we along with friends Jeremy, Sara, their kids and some of their family (Mr. and Mrs. Jackson, Ms. Boyer and Jerica with her son Jackson) all headed to the moutains for friends Corbitt and Danielle's wedding. We had a great time. We stayed in a beautiful house on the side of a mountain (picture below) and after attending all the wedding festivities we found a few things to do in surrounding areas. The wedding was absolutely gorgeous and was held at Lake Junaluska Memorial Chapel. The mountains along with the crystal blue lake is pretty breathe taking. The reception was alot of fun as well even Parker got his first taste of rocking with a band. One of the days we went to Ghost Town. Parker had fun riding his first merry go round and little horse. Jake enjoyed all the rides and you'll even see some of us hit a ride too. Yes we were talked into the Geronimo Drop. Oh yes the seats that simply raise up then drop straight down, FAST. I think you'll see by the picture we (mostly the girls) were scared out of our minds. And yes I did ride, I'm on the side, you can see my feet. We took the kids to a park to play, Jake went to Cherokee and brought back some gems they found while mining. We had some nice down time at the house and Jeremy, Sara, Wally and I got to take a trip to Ashville for some shopping and dinner. It was pretty jam packed but a lot of fun. The kids had fun playing and it was nice for all of us to catch up.
Congratulations Corbitt and Danielle!!!

The whole crew

The mountain house from the side. It is a 5 bedroom 3 bath. I couldn't get a picture of the front from the road because it was too high up and hiden by trees.

Slideshow of more pictures!

Parker jamming at the wedding

Parker had a fun time running across the dance floor and "dancing" to the band esp. with his friend Clark. The band had a fun time with them as mus=ch as we enjoyed watching them.

The Newest Discovery!!!

Well it was only a matter of time before Parker discovered yet a new thing in the house. And of course it involves the dogs again. I was washing dishes when I realized there was an odd quietness to the house. I looked over to find Parker had opened the dog food container and the eager dogs were waiting for this kid to hook them up. And yes the dogs had just eaten 5 mintues prior. It was pretty funny to watch it all unfold and of course I had to get some picks before stopping "the fun".
Hey guys, look what I found. Looks like fun to play in huh?

Oh you want a taste. Sure here I'll give you some.

Wait guys I bet this scoop that I have would be fun too. Isn't it cool how much I can get? Mom would be so proud at my scooping skills.

Hey were all brothers here why don't I give you some more. I'll just dump it out on the floor for you so you can eat as much as you want and I can still practice scooping.
