We took Parker to the beach for the first time last Saturday. We had to go at 5:30 because it was so hot. It actually turned out to be perfect though. There was a great breeze and though it was still warm it was comfortable. Parker enjoyed having the water run up over his feet and he really liked kicking his feet in the sand. We can't wait to go again.

Back To School
We had a back to school cookout here Sunday for Aunt Kerry (Kindergarten teacher) and Grandma Timm (8th grade English teacher). Parker and I are going to miss seeing them during the day. You can see that they are at the top of his list. Parker enjoyed having his head rubbed after dinner by Grandpa Timm. He smiled just about everytime he stroked his head. We laughed quite a bit at him. I'm so glad I was able to catch a picture of it. Grandpa Timm has the magic touch too. After they spent some time smiling and chatting, Parker fell asleep. You can see Aunt Kerry is pretty good at it too.
We hope you have a great school year Aunt Kerry and Grandma Timm!

Nothing But Fun
Parker and I have been quite busy playing as you can see. He is really starting to enjoy watching toys and is trying to bat at them when close. He's also holding toys longer and getting in some funny poses. In the mornings when it's been cooler, we've been able to go outside and Parker lyes in his dome while we play. I look forward to doing this more and more as it cools down. He really likes being outside . Right now we last about 15 minutes and we have to be out there before 10:00.

The Dreyer's Came To Visit!
The Dreyer's came to visit us all the way from Ohio. We were blessed that they came and could stay with us for a week. We had a blast while they were here. It was the first time they had seen Parker so of course we had fun playing with him. The dogs however were not neglected as Will and Ella loved trying to play with them. Ella was a big help in the kitchen. We made biscuits and our own chicken nuggets. We still had to make a few trips to bojangles though since they don't have that up there :) We also discovered Monkey Joe's in Wilmington. It was fun for all to play (kids and parents as you can see below). It's a building full of blow up castles, slides and play areas. Make sure to check out the video of Wally flipping inside one of the castles. We also were able to all go out to an island on the boat. We saw crabs, caught fish in a cast net, swam and played in the tube. Later Ella, with the help of Wally, drove us home. We made a trip to Greenville to catch up with some friends and walk around campus. It was great to be able to catch up with all who came. We all had a wonderful time while they were here.
We miss you guys already and can't wait to see you again!

All In A Day Of Play!
Parker is really enjoying playing these days and so am I. He has begun to smile at us and is holding some toys (when placed of course). He enjoys his play gym and you can see that Hurley does too. Just not at the same time. And after a day of hard playing what can be better then a warm bath. I just love those pictures.
