Hello Big Boy Bed!!!
Well we did it! The crib came down on Friday and we set up a "big boy" twin bed for Parker. We had to put the mattress on the box spring so that the outlets were covered vs just on the floor. He looks so tiny in this bed now. I grabbed some truck sheets to aid in the success of the transition and so far it has worked like a charm. He has not gotten out once and is sleeping through the night still just fine. We actually woke up to him this morning talking (through the monitor) saying "dump truck, dump truck right there, 'nother dump truck..." It was precious. Oh and when we layed him in his bed his animals (rabbit, lab puppy and of course George) were in different spots on the bed. We found it quite sweet that once he actually crashed he had gathered them all together beside him to sleep. He is such a funny and fantastic kid.

Congrats on getting Parker into a big-boy bed without any trouble. He does look really small in that big ol' bed.

Ok, I have to tell you---until I read the Myers' comment, I didn't realize Parker was in the picture---I just thought it was a few stuffed animals...and then I clicked on the picture when I read their comment and said, "Oh my goodness--Parker is in the bed, too!!" He is quite tiny in that bed!!! That's sooo great the transition went smooth---what is it with us new mom's being scared to death about transitioning from crib to bed? Did someone pull us aside during the delivery and say..."now never forget this pain...until your find out how miserable it is to move this baby to a toddler bed..." (Why are we so worried?)
Well--he looks right at home.
Parker--we are so, so, so excited about seeing you in a couple of weeks!!! Tell your mommy and daddy to email Mrs Alison and tell her what you want/need for your birthday---she has NO IDEA what boys your age are into!!!! HELP!!!
