Memorial Day
Well, we had a great memorial weekend. Wally was in a fishing tournament Saturday and Sunday (check out our new link Kokonutz Fishing Team, Wally set it up) so Parker and I spent time with family who came in town and played in the pool. On Monday we took the boat out and docked on an island to play and cookout with neighbors(and friends) Ryan, Beth (with Peyton :) ) and Chase as well as friends Lindsey and Jason. It was a beuatiful day though it became a little windy. We took our flat bottom boat so we could get everyone up close to the island. Parker liked the boat ride and watching all the boats and birds go by. We use a bean bag to make for a smoother ride for Parker not to mention it is a quite comfy seat. I also decided to use it to sit Parker in to eat his lunch. You'll see below he looked pretty pampered in there since he was also covered by an umbrella and getting his food brought to him. What a life that kid has. Parker had fun in the sand and exploring the small waves that came up on the shore. He had to be stopped from crawling in to far though. His favorite was probably walking in the water holding on to the boat (of course).

Parker conked out on the ride back in. He was exhausted!

Aunt Cindy and Uncle Jason come to visit
This weekend Parker's Aunt Cindy (Wally's sister) and Uncle Jason came to visit. They drove in from Charlotte for the weekend. Parker had a great time playing with them and meeting their new dog. We hope to see them again soon.

Welcome Home Poppy!!!
My dad has been in Oklahoma for month on business and just got back in town yesterday. We missed him greatly and are ALL definitely glad that he is home. One of our Timm traditions is to go strawberry picking together. That was one of the first things on his mind too once he got back. (Besides some much needed sleep. He had to drive the 20 something hours back in a U-haul full of electronics and furniture, Yuck!). So today Poppy, Aunt Kerry, Parker and I went strawberry picking. We had great weather and there were lots of good strawberries. Parker liked picking off the strawberries and then squishing them. It made quite a mess but he had fun. He did put several in the buckets for us too though. Enjoy the pics.

Happy Mother's Day!
What is a mother
A heart that can hear
every unspoken need,
Wisdom to know
when to quietly lead,
Hands that reach out,
always helping and sharing
A mother is caring!
Eyes that reflect
every joy that you find,
Arms to encircle,
but never to bind,
A talent for making
the most out of living
A mother is giving!
A voice that can soothe
or inspire or delight,
A smile that keeps shining
when things don't go right,
An angel God sends us
from Heaven above
A mother is nothing but
caring, giving and love.
Happy Mother's Day to all of you wonderful mother's!!!
We hope you all take the time to relax and enjoy your day.
You deserve it!

Hard At Work
Sorry it's been awhile since I've posted. We've been hard at work here building a deck onto the house. For years we have had a "lovely" concrete slab back there that we have called our patio. We decided a few weeks ago we had had enough of the dirt coming in the house from the dogs as well as the roughness of the concrete. So we built a deck. It's taken 2-3 weekends because we built it from scratch and we had a few postponings from rain. Wally put in alot of HARD labor. I helped during Parker's naps and once he went down for the night and our neighbor Ryan helped out some as well. I can happily say that we are about 95% done. We just have a spot Wally needs to customize to allow for our chimney to be emptied and then we just have to buy stuff for the deck. Yeah! We had a patio set that we've had for about 5 years and well about a month ago the wind lifted our umbrella and when it came back down it turned slightly and shattered our glass table. I'm not so sad though because I really wanted a new one. We weren't sure what the dogs would think of the deck either since they prefer to lye in the cool dirt if they can find a patch. Copper was particularly funny as we were working so I snapped some pics. of him.
Please don't take away my dirt!!!

Pool Time
Last weekend it was warm enough to bring out the Walmart pool :) Yes we had been working on the deck but as you can imagine when Parker wakes up from his naps I can't help much with the deck anymore. On this afternoon, Chase came over to play in the pool with Parker while Beth and I supervised. Ryan graciously helped Wally the rest of the day with the deck. His help was greatly appreciated.
