Dolphins At Play

Wally went fishing with a few friends this weekend and while they were out, four dolphin swam up to the boat. They were around the boat for about 10-15 minutes. They swam on their backs, sides and even splashed the boat. They got so close that James got to touch one. Ryan happened to get some of them on video underwater. Hope you enjoy. They really are beautiful animals.

Look what I can do!

Parker started grabbing at his spoon the day before his birthday thinking he was big enough to start feeding himself. And, well, I guess he was right. Ever since then he will grab for it with either hand, and feed himself. Most foods he still needs my help to scoop of course but he does the rest. What a big boy!

I love my Daddy!

Just a cute shot I wanted to share of Wally, Parker and Copper.
Parker kept wanting to get on Copper and ride him.

Aquarium

We took Parker to the aquarium in Pine Knoll Shores last weekend and we all had a blast. He had fun walking around and seeing all the different fish and turtles. They had other things of course but the fish and turtles caught his eye the most. When we got to the big floor to ceiling tank, which you will see below, he pointed and kept saying "wow" as he walked/almost ran over there. It was really cute.

Playing at home

Just a few pictures of Parker playing with some of his new toys.

Parker reading Go Dog Go, his new favorite. He pants like a dog when he opens it still.

Parker loving his new climb n slide. Thanks to Jake and Jenna. Parker can't wait to play on it with you two!

Trucks, in the tub? Definitely endless fun!

Oh yea, and I'm a big boy now. I can ride forward. He is definitely enjoying looking at everything in front of him, including us.

More fun at the beach

This week my Aunt Laura, Uncle Ron and cousin Lee were staying down at the beach for a little vacation. We, along with my mom and dad, were able to make it down there on Thursday to spend some time with them. We spent the afternoon at the beach which turned out to be a gorgeous day. Parker enjoyed collecting shells and letting them splash in a bucket of water, playing in the sand and standing in the water. We are so lucky we live so close to the beach. It's full of many wonderful experiences and Parker really seems to enjoy it.

Parker's Birthday Party!

Well Parker's party couldn't have been more perfect. We had fabulous weather and about 50 friends and family. We had it in our backyard with all kinds of water activities for the kids (and adults who dared). We had a blowup waterslide, 2 pools and a sprinkler. There was even a game of corn hole for adults thanks to Granddad Hansen. Parker definitely enjoyed himself playing in the water and walking between all the different activities. He even learned how to kick a ball. We had a cupcake cake for him in the shape of a fish. It was fun watching the kids eat those as it turned their mouths blue or green. They were good though. He got some wonderful gifts and has enjoyed playing with his new variety of toys. I have finally found a spot for them all. We really enjoyed his special day and we really appreciate all those who came to share it with us (esp. those who drove from out of town). Hope you enjoy the pictures. You can see more in the link to the right, just click on the picture.

This was Parker's face when he woke up from his nap and walked outside and saw his backyard full of friends and water activities. He was in awe.

The waterslide! So much fun!

Parker hanging with the boys (Jake and Chase). This is one of my favorite pictures.

The presents!!! Holy cow!

Parker pants like a dog when he sees dogs (real or in books) and a lot of times if you ask him what a dog says. Aunt Susie and Uncle Scott gave him the book Go Dog Go (which he LOVES!) and we caught him panting on camera.

Happy 1st Birthday!!!

I'M ONE !!!
What a fun day we had for Parker's birthday. We met Tricia and her two kids Cooper and Bentley at the beach for the morning. Parker had fun playing in the sand and walking all over the place. He liked touching the water and jumping the waves (with help of course, we're not that advanced:) ) though he got ticked a few times when they would knock him down. It was a lot of fun. My parents came over at night for dinner, presents and cupcakes. And let's just say for a child who hasn't had sweets yet he sure knew what to do with that cupcake. He barely could wait for us to finish singing. He immediately dove in with his hands and began devouring it. It was a very special day and we had a great time. His big party is Sunday so make sure to check back for an update. And pray it doesn't rain he's having a pool/waterslide party at the house.

Let's open some gifts

What a ride!!!

The other night we were over at neighbor's Ryan and Beth's house. Chase has a plasma car and while we were over their he wanted to show it to Parker. Parker first pushed Chase around the house on it then he decided he wanted to ride too. Parker I think could have done this for hours. Those two went around their house several times and had nothing but grins. Chase was a good listener too and made sure not to go too fast and to make sure Parker didn't fall off (of course the mommy's were doing that too). It was pretty funny, when Chase got off so did Parker but as soon as Chase came anywhere near the car Parker immediately came over to ride too. Chase is going to be a great big brother. And thanks to him too, when we got home Parker on his own transferred what he'd learned and began riding his tonka truck by himself! So smart. Hope you enjoy the video!

My First Boo Boo

Well we have our first scraped knee. Parker was walking to the car after church and fell and scraped his knee. He didn't flinch he was more interested in getting back to walking. Check him out posing at home later in his chair with his skinned knee.

Big Helper

Here are some funny pictures I took in Lowes over the weekend. As you can see he loves anything he can walk with. Yes he could actually push that cart by himself (we didn't let him do it much though because it was definitely a heavy work load - funny though). He's so strong. Don't ya love the stance in the first one?
